Artphin Consulting (Pty) Limited was established in 2012 as a private company with the sole purpose of entering the Short-term Insurance industry-with particular emphasis on the Taxi Industry. At the time of the formal registration of the company, the founder, Nanka Phineas Desando was employed as Head of the Short-term and Medical Aid unit (Inland) for Atfin Consulting, a company with offices in Western Cape. It was not until in September 2013 after the company was granted a license by the Financial Services Board that the company began its operation. This is a company formed, run and managed by 100% black people with vast of experience in the target markets it operates in.
Todate, the company boosts over 2,500 clients in its books, primarily in the taxi industry. There is a steady growth in its personal, commercial and household markets, especially after the appointment of a dedicated resource to grow and manage this process. In April 2014, the company added the Medical Aid on its product offering and now offers products from a number of Medical Schemes.
